Fundamental questions need to be asked of the Irish justice system, RCI Executive Director says on Prime Time

Fundamental questions need to be asked of the Irish justice system, RCI’s Executive Director, Dr Clíona Saidléar, said during a Prime Time interview on 5th December 2025.

Outlining how RCI has advocated for years for a court accompaniment service, Dr Saidléar said she would like to see the support services that were available to Nikita Hand through the Dublin Rape Crisis Centre rolled out across the entire country.

“We have been advocating for a number of years now that the service that’s available in Dublin should be available to every single survivor in this country in the same manner because at the moment we have a two-tier system, and what we really need is that very same service that was available for Nikita to be available to every survivor,” Dr Saidléar said.
