Governance & Transparency

Rape Crisis Ireland (RCI) is governed by its Board of Directors, which is made up of Trustees nominated from Rape Crisis Centres and external experts with skills, experience and a passion for our mission.

As a registered company limited by guarantee and a registered charity in Ireland, RCI is compliant with all regulations under the Companies Act and the Charities Regulation Act, and specifically with the Charities Regulatory Authority’s Governance Code for the Community, Voluntary and Charitable Sector in Ireland. We prepare and submit annual accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland.

RCI’s members include Carlow & South Leinster Rape Crisis & Counselling Centre, Donegal Sexual Abuse and Rape Crisis Centre, Kerry Rape & Sexual Abuse Centre, Mayo Rape Crisis Centre, Rape Crisis Midwest, Waterford Rape & Sexual Abuse Centre, and West Cork Beacon Centre.
