Congratulations to our Specialist Sexual Violence Training graduates!

13th June 2026: CONGRATULATIONS to everyone who successfully completed our Specialist Sexual Violence Training for Accredited Counsellors!

Since last October, this enthusiastic group has taken part in eight intensive training weekends – covering everything from the dynamics of sexual violence and childhood sexual abuse to male rape, pornography, perpetrators, and vicarious trauma – building the specialist skills and knowledge needed to support survivors safely and effectively.

We are immensely grateful to trainers, Vera O’Leary and Ruth MacNeely, for their expertise and dedication throughout the programme, to Rape Crisis Midwest for hosting the course, and to The Wheel for funding this training through their Training Links grant.

These nine counsellors are now equipped to bring specialist, trauma-informed support to survivors of rape and sexual violence across Ireland.
